Cajun Blackened Salmon

Bold, spicy salmon fillets cooked in the air fryer for a blackened crust with a tender, juicy center. Ready in under 10 minutes!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 salmon fillets 5–6 oz each
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Lemon wedges for serving
Avocado Cream Sauce (optional):
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Mix Cajun seasoning, brown sugar, and garlic powder.
  2. Pat salmon dry and brush the flesh side with olive oil.
  3. Press spice mix onto the salmon.
  4. Air fry at 400°F for 7–8 minutes.
  5. Serve with lemon and avocado cream.

Notes

Use skin-on salmon for better structure. For crispier edges, air fry slightly longer. Sauce can be made ahead and chilled.
